The '''Necropolis of Syphax''', formerly simply '''Syphax''', was a [dwarf|dwarven]] town in the crystal caves of [[Kharakun]], located roughly 40 miles southwest of [[Dawnshard Mascezel]] at a depth of half a mile. Once one of the largest dwarven communities on the southern side of the [[Fangs of Khurazar]], the Necropolis was abandoned in {{Year|6942}} after geophagic zombies of an unclear origin swept through its tunnels and grand crystal-hall. The survivors, of which there were few, fled to outlying villages around [[Irassa]], where most now still live.

Prior to its evacuation, the people of Syphax had cultivated a long tradition as skilled sculptors, with many specializing in producing the sort of light-catching totems prized by the surface-dwelling sun giants.
