'''Mehasart''' {{Pronunciation|meh-hah-SART}} is the northernmost city in [[Tamkaranu]] and, by both population and physical dimensions, the smallest major city in the nation. Located in a natural harbor along the coast of the [[Chaska Sea]], for centuries Mehasart was one of the strongest city-states of the region, easily able to conquer and control surrounding communities as far south as the [[River Arrud]] and as far west as the [[Kurzag Mountains]] through the forces of its armies and diplomats. It was heavily damaged and depopulated in the [[Eastern Crusade]], however, to such a degree that a millennium and a half later the city's population is still less than half of its peak.
