Nestled within a chasm in the surrounding taiga, Marthuz is naturally well-protected against the elements, a factor that has certainly aided in its growth. Most of its inhabitants live in dwellings carved out of the chasm walls, with the bottom of the canyon itself used as a thoroughfare through the city.
