'''Ferrata''' {{Pronunciation|feh-RAH-tah}} is the capital city of [[New Sotosa]], founded by the [[Third Expeditionary Legion]] around the year {{Year|6408}}. Despite its political importance as the nation's capital, Ferrata is one of the smallest major settlements in New Sotosa, far behind [[Ravendel]], [[Old Gate]], [[Solitaria]], and even some of the legion's eastern fortresses in population. Almost all who reside in the city either do so as part of their role in the military, or else to work in one of the various establishments that cater to the feeding, housing, and entertaining of the legion.

At the center of Ferrata is an old cryptstone fortress in which the legion is headquartered, with various residential buildings and other structures arranged around it. The surrounding forests begin almost immediately where the homes in - there is little agriculture around Ferrata, with most food transported in from the villages to the south.
