'''Asorin''' {{Pronunciation|AH-sore-in}} is a fortified seaside settlement in the [[Western Coast]]. Located along the long, almost empty coastline between [[Arda-Mulissu]] in the west and the much larger city of [[Russicada]] in the east, Asorin is less of a town and more of a collection of [[trade post|trade posts]]. These outposts - one each affiliated with [[Tamkaranu]], [[Eretrebus]], [[Khapesh]], and the Western Coast city of [[Vectra]] - work together to manage Asorin, even as their own mercantile interests may conflict. The settlement is not a destination for merchant vessels on the [[Chaska Sea]] but rather one of the few places in its immediate surroundings, along with the rather more chaotic [[Sabratha]] to the south, where they can rest and resupply.

The original fortifications of Asorin date back to the middle of the ninth millennium, built seemingly by [[Hellea|Hellean]] colonists who abandoned the site for unknown reasons soon after.
