Chaluchasu (pronounced cha-loo-CHA-soo), or the Bronze-Walker, is an ancient Eitan colossus. Left behind during the elven retreat to the Cradle and subsequent self-exile to Hinthial, Chaluchasu sat for millennia along the banks of the Ikena River, watching itself be slowly buried by silt until the Idrimi found it in Y9540*. After much coaxing and discussion Chaluchasu was willing to pull itself out of its predicament and accompany the tribe as long as they aided it in turn.
Like most remaining elven colossi, Chaluchasu can be erratic and idiosyncratic as it remains bound by ancient instructions it can no longer quite recall. It knows with confidence that the last mission its creators gave it was to protect those traveling through Brightmarch. Though fully cognizant that this probably originally referred to elven refugees returning to their island homeland, Chaluchasu has chosen to interpret these directions as applying to the nomadic Idrimi as well, thereby both fulfilling both the original mission that it is required to abide by and aiding its new companions at the same time.
Chaluchasu had oxidized to a dull green by the point it pulled itself out of the centuries of accumulated silt, but the Idrimi have been diligent since in restoring and maintaining the metallic sheen of the construct. Its body now often bears intricate fractal designs painted in black, with the same types of patterns on the many walking-banners that are affixed to its arms and shoulders. Chaluchasu makes for an imposing and unmistakable sight rising from the grasslands of Brightmarch, sunlight glinting off its metal form as it travels with the Idrimi.
